The information technology department was started in the year 2001 and provides undergraduate programs in Batch (IT). The students are regally being trained in leading edge technologies with a practical orientation

Course & curriculum This department offers four-year degree programme leading to B.Tech Information Technology. Computer Labs
Data Structure Lab To develop Programming skills in data structures and their applications like implementation of linked list, doubly linked list, polynomial addition, stack, queue, tree and hashing. System Programming Lab Enable the students to learn and develop system software’s like assembler, linker, Loader, compiler, debugger and interpreters
UNIX Lab In Unix Lab students practice basic UNIX commands and Shell programs in UNIX Visual Programming Lab To make the students to understand and practice in windows Programming concepts including Microsoft foundation classes using Visual C++ and Microsoft COM Objects.
CASE Tools Lab To make the students to study, design and develop mini projects on Rational Rose Enterprise Edition and programming on C++ & Visual basic 6.0 Multimedia and Graphics Lab To teach the fundamental concept of graphics and multimedia on 2D & 3D objects and C program to perform 2D & 3D object transformation, Scaling, Rotation, Window to View port mapping and Line clipping algorithms. Software Components Lab Enable the students to learn and programming on advanced concepts on java like RMI, EJB, CORBA, RMI-IIOP and Java Native Interfaces.
Microprocessor Lab Enable the students to study and program on different types of microprocessors like 8085, 8086 and microcontroller like 8051.
Networking Lab To provide an exposure to the students with hands on experience on various simulator tools like OPNET,NS2 and build applications using TCP sockets,UDP Sockets , Raw sockets and to implement Remote procedure call. Software Development To make the students to understand the life cycle of software development and make them to develop the software’s on different platforms. Web Technology Lab Enable the student to develop static web pages in HTML and Dynamic web pages in JSP on Tomcat Apache Server and ASP on IIS server. Operating Systems Lab To make the students to study Linux operating and C programming in Linux to implement process scheduling algorithms, memory management schemes, IPC ,Systems like grep, Ls, fork, exec.,etc Database Management Lab To teach the strong foundation in Database technology and to develop a programming in DDL, DML and develop simple API programs Computer Practice Lab- I To provide awareness to computing and programming and to give practices in word processing spread sheet and simple C programming. Department Library Faculty Industrial Field Training Every semester, students are advised to undergo Industrial Field Training and improve their skills in the major areas like PC Design and Maintenance, Advance Database Technology, Networking and Operating System Design. List of Companies Industrial Visits Visits to a wide range of industries and technical exhibition are regularly arranged to keep the students abreast of the conditions prevailing in the field of study. Student Projects Innovation day has been organized to motivate student projects IBM Company promote our students with their projects In the Department of Information Technology students are motivated to improve their academic curriculum by suggesting them to do IEEE projects and also industrial projects Protech Two –Linux security Distribution Operating System developed by Christopher Department Library Our Library contains author books, reference books, international journals, national journals, international magazines and national magazines for our staff member. Student’s projects and Question banks of all subjects will be available.
