Revision of Syllabus and New Course Introduction

 
    Syllabus framework is a vital phenomenon in ensuring consistency and quality in a curriculum system. The quality of the syllabus is a fairly reliable indicator of the quality of teaching and learning process. For the betterment of the students, it is imperative to develop a well-defined curriculum and syllabus. While devising the syllabus, special attention is to be paid to the content and objectives in order to have the preliminary view of the pre-requisites of the courses. Revision of the syllabus, in line with the recent trends for the better career of the students, is done by taking into account the factors such as employability, entrepreneurship and skill development. Curriculum is framed by including ideas of the stakeholders on the grounds of feedback obtained from them. Keeping emerging technologies in forefront, reframing of syllabus and curriculum is done. Besides technical aspects, the curriculum focuses on social, environmental, ethical and economical aspects too. Open Elective courses are also offered to the students with maximum flexibility of choosing elective courses from the curriculum of interdisciplinary programmes. The major focus of curriculum, in a broad sense, is on achieving the Program Outcomes. Modern, creative teaching techniques are adopted in order to make the courses comprehensive and help the students acquire the concepts better. Based on the advancement in technologies, a new course is introduced by the departments with the approval of Board of Studies and Academic Council.
