The department of Computer Applications was started in the year 2006.The department is bestowed with an experienced team of faculty members with excellent academic records and proficiency. Excellent infrastructure, state-of-the-art computers with the latest advances in technology and comprehensive study material make the department a class apart. The department helps in providing the I.T. and the computer industry with world-class talent and creating the finest software professionals year after year. By providing concept-oriented subject knowledge through a high quality teaching that is supplemented with practical training, the discipline aims to nurture the brightest minds in the world of computers and technology.
The success of the department is attributed to its motivating and inspiring faculty who handle subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Software Quality Management, Computer Networks, Mobile Computing, Database Management system, Database Administration, Data Structure, Object Oriented Programming, Software Engineering, Web Technologies and many more. Programming in C Laboratory
This lab is to teach the principles of good programming practice and to give a practical training in writing efficient programs in C.
Data Structures Laboratory
This lab is to develop Programming skills in design and implementation of data structures and their applications like implementation of linked list, doubly linked list, polynomial addition, stack, queue, tree, hashing function and Prim’s algorithms.
Office Automation Laboratory
This lab is to learn about Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Tally.
Object Oriented Programming Laboratory
This lab is to teach the principles of good programming practice and to give a practical training in writing efficient programs in C++.
System Software Laboratory
This lab is to make the students to understand system software concepts and make them to design and implements the various system software tools like assemblers, loaders, linkers and macro processors.
Algorithms Laboratory
In Algorithms Lab students practice, implementation of Selection Sort, Bubble Sort, Pseudo code using with recursion and without recursion, Prim’s Algorithm, Spanning Tree Algorithm and Multistage Graph Algorithm.
Database Management Systems Laboratory
This lab is to teach the strong foundation in Database technology and to develop a programming in DDL Commands, DML Commands, DCL Commands, High level languages like Cursors, Triggers, Procedures, Functions and to design and implementation of application projects
Java Programming Laboratory
This lab is to teach the principles of good programming practice and to give a practical training in writing efficient programs in JAVA.
Case Tools Laboratory
This lab is to make the students to understand the life cycle of software development and make them to design and implement the various application projects with the help of Rational rose software.
.NET Framework Laboratory
This lab is geared towards providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to develop C# applications for the Microsoft .NET Platform.Alsoprovides basic skills for development of dynamic data-drivenASP.NET Web applications.
Network Programming Laboratory
This lab is to provide an exposure to the students with hands on experience on various simulator tools like OPNET, NS2 and build applications using TCP sockets, UDP Sockets, Raw sockets and to implement Remote procedure call.
Open Source Laboratory
The Main Purpose of the Open source Lab is to download Free/Open Software from the web. It is useful for the students to develop their own programs / mini projects and do research projects.
Middleware Technology Laboratory
The role of Middleware is to ease the task of designing, programming and managing distributed applications by providing a simple, consistent and integrated distributed programming environment. Middleware is a distributed software layer, or ‘platform’ which abstracts over the complexity and heterogeneity of the underlying distributed environment with its multitude of network technologies, machine architectures, operating systems and programming languages.
Software Development Laboratory
To develop simple softwares and web pages using C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Oracle, HTML, Java, Java Script, J2EE, ASP and JSP, to provide practical exposure to the students in implementing technical concepts and dynamic web page development.
