      “Data Science and Big Data analytics for Sustainability” on 22.02.2020. Thiru V. Shanmugan, Chairman, Sri Nandha Educational Trust, Thiru. S. Nandhakumar Pradeep, Secretary, Sri Nandha Educational Trust and Thiru S.Thirumoorthi, Secretary, Nandha Educational Institutions, Dr.J.Senthil, Director, Nandha Engineering College inaugurated the function. In addition to that Dr.S.Arumugam, CEO, Nandha Educational Institutions delivered the keynote address, Prof. K.Gunasekar, head of the department welcomed the gathering. On this occasion Dr.N.Rengarajan, Principal, Nandha Engineering College presented the Principal Address. Dr. P. Thirumoorthy, Professor, Department of CSE introduced the chief guest Mr. Ramamurthi Nagarajan, Founder & Principal Consultant, The New Gen Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Singapore, He spoke briefly about big data analytics, RPA, IPA, machine learning, deep learning which helps the organizations to create new growth opportunities and entirely new categories of companies that can combine and analyze industrial data. Business Organizations collect data from a variety of sources, including business transactions, social media and information from sensor or machine-to-machine data can actually be considered as a Big Data or not, is dependent upon volume of data. Dr. Timos Sellis, Director, Data Science Research Institute, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia addressed the gathering over Skype.

     In the second session Dr.K.S.Sridharan, Professor, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Andhra Pradesh, Dr.R.P.Ramkumar, Professor, Malla Reddy Engineering College, Secunderabad and Dr. G. Singaravel, Professor, K.S.R. College of Engineering, Tiruchengode are the session chairs, who gave their comments on the research papers which were presented. In the Valedictory function, Dr.S.Arumugam, convener, distributed the certificates to the participants. Finally Mr.S.Prabhu, Assistant professor, Nandha Engineering College, delivered the vote of thanks.
