The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department has been Re-accreditated by National Board of Accrediation, AICTE, New Delhi.
ABOUT THE DISCIPLINE
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2002 and presently it offers undergraduate program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Department has qualified faculty members with excellent academic records. The Department is equipped with excellent laboratory facilities since its inspection.
Electrical Engineering department has a separate department library to cater to the specific needs of the Electrical Engineering students. The computer and internet facilities are made available to the students round the clock. The department has initiated conducting National Conference, Technical Symposium, Inter/Intra department Activities, Funding agencies Sponsored Workshops and Seminars.

The graduates of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will be
PEO 1: Core Competency: A Successful professional with domain knowledge in Electrical and Electronics Engineering using emerging techniques.
PEO 2: Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Able to demonstrate multi-disciplinary skills through innovation and research to meet the societal needs.
PEO 3: Ethics, Human values and Life-long learning: Able to demonstrate ethical practices and managerial skills through continual learning.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)
PO 1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO 2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO 3: Design and Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO 4: Investigation of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO 5: Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO 6: The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning acquired by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional Engineering practice.
PO 7: Environment & Sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the Knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

ELECTRICAL MACHINES- I & II
Electrical machines lab is a vital part of the Electrical Engineering. It helps to learn about DC machines and AC machines. The students can acquire the fundamental study on static and dynamic magnetic circuits and concepts of rotating machines , studies on the characteristics of Motor, Generator and Transformers. They are encouraged to design an innovative idea to develop a conventional machine.
ELECTRON DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LAB
This laboratory has an excellent collection of all basic components for conducting practical classes. It also consists of Dual trace and Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Function Generators, Power Supplies, Bread boards etc. The lab also helps students in pursuing innovative projects in electronics.
ELECTRIC CIRCUITS LAB
Electric Circuits lab is special and well equipped with the latest signal generators, oscilloscopes, digital trainer kits and measuring instruments. Students of various branches design and test their analog/digital/mixed signals, digital circuits as part of their curriculum.
MEASUREMENTS AND INSTRUMENTATION LAB
The Students can know the procedure to measure the resistance, capacitance, inductance, power, energy and working of various instruments by this laboratory.
POWER ELECTRONICS LAB
This lab has the facilies to study all power electronics apparatus and AC and DC drives. It has got 60 MHz & 100 MHz Digital storage oscilloscopes for analysis & research activities. Separate isolated AC supply for measuring instruments is also available.
CONTROL SYSTEMS LAB
Control Systems Lab is facilitated to provide sound knowledge in the basic concepts of linear control theory and design of control system, the methods of representation of systems and to desire their transfer function models, basic knowledge in obtaining the open loop and closed–loop frequency responses of systems, the concept of stability of control system and methods of stability analysis and the three ways of designing compensation for a control system.
POWER SYSTEM SIMULATION LAB
Power System Simulation Lab helps to acquire software development skills and experience in the usage of standard packages necessary for analysis and simulation of power system required for its planning, operation and control.
Available Software:
MATLAB, LABVIEW, MIPOWER, XILINX, PSPICE, NS2 SIMULATOR, POWER SYSTEM SIMULATION SOFTWARE with licenses. Compliers: C, C++, JAVA.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PRACTICES LAB
This hands-on laboratory course complements, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering. The course develops basic skills in constructing and measuring electrical circuits using modern laboratory instruments.
LINEAR AND DIGITAL INTEGRATED CIRCUITS LAB
Linear and Digital Integrated Circuits lab is very important for designing the characteristics of OP-AMP, 555 Timer IC and to simulate the applications of OP-AMP. Students of various branches design and test their circuits as part of their curriculum. Guidance is provided to the students by a team of expert faculty and lab technicians.
MICROPROCESSOR AND MICROCONTROLLER LAB
This Lab gives coding knowledge to control the hardware components which is used for embedded system related projects.
