- Various Extra- curricular activities are offered under Personality and Character Development (PCD) course to the students.
- Main objective of Cultural and Fine arts club is to bring out the hidden talent of students in music, dance and other traditions of our country. Apart from participating in various events, the students inculcate managerial capabilities such as event management and stage organization
- To encourage the students to work along with the people in rural areas, thereby developing their character, social consciousness, commitment, and discipline and being helpful towards the community. Social Club enables action based activities such as awareness programme, tree plantation, rallies, cleanliness drive in the nearby villages and Temples.
- To develop an ability to observe, analyze and judge the performance of self and peers in Sport activities like Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball and other indoor games which need physical effort and skills help maintaining mental and physical fitness.
- Trekking is an adventure sport; it encourages students to become more self-reliant. Our students went on trekking to Tribal village in Hills, fort and other nearby Hills.

Center for Value Added Courses (CVAC)
- A value added course can increase the student’s quality. Students will be able to get hands-on training on what they learn from the textbooks.
- Center for Value Added Courses (CVAC) are introduced as a career oriented and skill enhancing course. It imparts and develops intellectual, practical and analytical skills of a student and enables the students to technically ready for their working environment.
- A value-added program has gained considerable momentum as a new way to assess the effectiveness of students and teachers.
- Value-added programs trace individual student gains over the course of the year, thus controlling for other factors influencing student achievement.

Nandha Engineering Central Library (NECL) is fully automated and specially designed to motivate the learning experience of faculty members and student community. It functions in three storeyed building with the area of 10800 square feet as the heart of Educational institutions. The main aim of library is to provide right source to right users at right time.
The collections of library include Books, Journals, Magazines, Project reports, Question Bank, Back volumes of Journals, Magazines and News papers in the field of Management studies, Science, Engineering and Technologies.

3.1 Reference Section
This section has more than 9446 volumes like highly valuable books, unique collections, GATE books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias; Syllabus based text and reference books.
3.2 Periodical Section
The air-conditioned periodical section has 76 International Journals from the following various societies of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, USA

A 50 inch TV is installed along with Doordharsan dish to telecast 32 educational channels launched by Swayam Prabha for supporting Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) facility in the Periodical Section.
3.3 Stack Section
The collection of Library books has reached around 64060 volumes and 20541 titles related to Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Agriculture, Biomedical and Business Administration. Books are arranged in filiatory sequence using DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) and by author name alphabetically for easy accessing. It saves the time of users.
3.4 Circulation Section
Circulation section includes issue, return and renewal by the users using their Identity card. The Bar coding technology has been mapped with every user’s Identity card and also with library software to speed up the circulation process.
The library has 22 years digitalized question papers which are being sent to faculty members and student community as per their request through mail ID. The library has procured unavailable and rare books by using membership with Developing Library Network (DELNET). OPAC facility is available to facilitate online search of library sources by giving keywords like Title, Author, and Publisher etc.
3.5 OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogues)
Library is computerized with Campes – Lib : The Digital Librarian commercial software. By this software, OPAC facility is available at the entrance of library to facilitate online search of library documents available in the library by giving keywords like Title, Author, Publisher etc.,
3.6 Digital Section
The air-conditioned digital library is implemented with 32 desktop systems and 20 Laptops usable desk for accessing 200 IEEE, 2952 JGate, and 130 ProQuest online journals, 8820 e-books, 31,535 Audio Visual courses and 9202 Conference Proceedings with back volumes. It can be accessed inside the campus on 24X7 bases via Wi-Fi and also remote access by using User name and Password for IEEE and J-Gate.
There are 3019 e-Books, 863 e- Journals and e-Magazines as CDs, DVDs and VCDs. It also includes more than 375 NPTEL courses for teaching and learning purposes. It is networking with DELNET (Developing Library Network, New Delhi.) for resource sharing.

The library is kept open from 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. in all working days.

About us
The office is established with an objective of enforcing discipline and controlling the student community. The college monitors the progress of the students at a closer level with the help of this office. This center takes care in assigning a minimum of 20 students to a faculty who maintains a record of the academic progress (Proctor Diary) of the students and have closer interaction with the students and provide guidance and counseling.

Nandha Engineering College (Autonomous) has constituted a Internal Complaints Committee based on the report of SAKSHAM “Measures for ensuring the safety of Women and Programmes for gender sensitization on Campuses” from University Grants Commission a committee is constituted to develop guidelines to combat sexual harassment, violence against women and ragging and to deal with cases reported.

Nandha Engineering College (NEC) recognises the importance of soft skills among students and employees. As a result, it organises a variety of soft skills in order to provide students with good interpersonal abilities. In this regard, it organises train-the-trainer programme for faculty members and students. Personality traits and behaviors are examples of soft skills to demonstrate their innate abilities. The importance of language is recognised by Nandha Engineering College. Institution has offered several languages in our colleges, such as Hindi, German, and Japanese. Students who learnt more than one language other than their regional language are more likely to get placement opportunities in MNC’s and Abroad. Institution is offering a variety of language-learning programmes and also conducts seminars, workshops, conferences and competitions to improve their communication abilities.
Students are encouraged to participate in activities beyond of their academic courses in order to develop self-confidence and a sense of balance. Several student societies cater to a variety of interests, allowing students to enhance their particular abilities and management skills. Every department has a group that recognises students’ achievements in inter and intra-departmental competitions. These organisations not only represent the institutions at numerous colleges and universities, but they also arrange competitive activities and demonstrate their abilities at NEC’s various in-house events.

WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CELL
Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality are imperative for the progress of a nation. By taking this on board, Women Development Cell was constituted in Nandha Engineering College in 2012. The Cell has both the faculty and students of the College as its members and works with an aim to create a gender sensitized community. It has been organizing varied awareness programs for the upliftment of girl students and disseminating the real importance of gender equality in society.
WDC plays a prominent role in voicing opinions on important matters that affect the daily life of women students. It provides a platform where students can comfortably participate and share their views. In the interest of WDC, International Women’s Day is celebrated every year inviting famous personalities and orators as Chief Guests. As a part of the celebration, Women achievers of various fields are identified and honored with Kalki Award.
OBJECTIVES :
- To create awareness about women’s rights and their roles in the society.
- To create awareness about the problems of women pertaining to gender discrimination.
- To provide a forum for women to exchange information, ideas and thoughts.

The Gender Equity Cell was established in the college in order to sensitize gender equality. The motivation behind the cell formation is to spread awareness of gender equality and to create a healthy relationship with the opposite gender among the students and staff.

- To enable women to be aware in areas like education, employment and health.
- To provides the platform for women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society. Moreover, they also suggest various ways to improve and empower themselves.
- To organize of guest lectures, awareness programs, legal awareness, entrepreneur training, women self-defence programs and other welfare activities.
ANTI RAGGING CELL
In conformity with Supreme Court judgements and directions, UGC guidelines and State Government Instructions, Nandha Engineering College (Autonomous), Erode is following ‘Zero-Tolerance policy’ towards ragging. Any student of Nandha Engineering College (Autonomous), Erode accused and found guilty of ragging, will be severely dealt with, in accordance with the Provisions of the Law.
Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. It is now defined as an act that violates or is perceived to violate an individual student’s dignity. Ragging is totally banned in the campus and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or helping ragging is liable to be punished as it is criminal offence.

Objectives
- To prohibit any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
- To bring out an awareness among the students about the consequences of ragging.
- To keep a constant eye and vigilance over ragging so as to prevents its occurrence.
- To address any ragging issues immediately and taken action as advised by the committee.

According to the UGC Regulation on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Institutions, 2009, ragging constitutes one or more of any of the following acts:
- Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
- Indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.
- Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student.
- Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher.
- Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students.
- Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students.
- Any act of physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person;
- Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher or any other student.
- Any act of physical or mental abuse (including bullying and exclusion) targeted at another student (fresher or otherwise) on the ground of colour, race, religion, caste, ethnicity, gender (including transgender), sexual orientation, appearance, nationality, regional origins, linguistic identity, place of birth, place of residence or economic background.
Punishments
According to the UGC Regulation on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, depending on the nature and gravity of the guilt established by the Anti-Ragging Squad, those found guilty may be awarded one or more of the following punishments, namely;
- Warning , writing apology letter
- Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
- Withholding/ withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits.
- Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process.
- Withholding results.
- Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
- Suspension/ expulsion from the hostel.
- Cancellation of admission.
